Gladstone Tavern Marks 20 Years with Community Celebration Honoring Guests and Staff
PEAPACK-GLADSTONE, N.J. — Gladstone Tavern celebrated its 20th anniversary on June 15 with a festive gathering that brought together longtime guests, current and former staff members, family, friends, and community supporters who have helped shape the restaurant's story over the past two decades.
Held at the historic tavern on Main Street, the anniversary party served as both a celebration and a thank you to the people who have made Gladstone Tavern a beloved destination since it opened in 2006. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed food, drinks, live music, and the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces who have been part of the restaurant's journey over the years.
Located in a building that dates back to 1847, Gladstone Tavern has long been a fixture in the Somerset Hills community. Under the leadership of Chef Tom Carlin, the restaurant has earned a reputation for seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere that has turned first-time visitors into regulars and regulars into friends.
"For 20 years, this has been more than a restaurant," said Chef Tom Carlin. "It's been a gathering place for our community. Seeing so many familiar faces come together to celebrate this milestone was incredibly meaningful and a reminder of how fortunate we've been to serve this community for the past two decades."
Chef Carlin's culinary career has spanned some of New York City’s most respected kitchens and renown chefs, but Gladstone Tavern has become his legacy. Through changing trends, economic challenges, and shifting dining habits, the restaurant has remained committed to local farms, quality food, genuine hospitality, and building lasting relationships with guests.
Many attendees at the anniversary celebration shared stories of family celebrations, weekly dinners, first dates, anniversaries, and friendships that began within the tavern's walls. Current and former staff members gathered alongside longtime patrons, highlighting the strong sense of community that has defined Gladstone Tavern since its founding.
