January 19 MLK Day at Gladstone Tavern
We're pleased to present the Lonnie Youngblood Trio and soul food specialties for Martin Luther King Day. While some music fans may not be familiar with Mr. Lonnie Youngblood, he played and recorded some sessions in the early-mid 1960s with a soon to be legendary guitarist by the name of Jimi Hendrix.
Start with one of our crafted specialty cocktails. The southern specialties are wide ranging – start with Fried Green Tomatoes or perhaps our Southern Gumbo with crawfish, chicken, okra and andouille. Main Course specials include Southern Fried Chicken, Cornmeal Crusted Catfish and Barbecued Spare Ribs. Be sure to leave room for dessert whether you choose the peanut butter sandwich, red velvet cake or our home made ice creams and sorbets.
